We were so ready for the weekend by Friday and the girls had a fun school day with it being Crazy Hair Day and Crazy Sock Day. Brooklyn planned her hair out on her own and Kayla just wanted pig tails with some color on top.
Friday night was our usual family movie night and pizza! We watched Coco and it was super cute, Brooklyn even watched it again Sunday night.
Saturday morning Kayla had a soccer game but it was at 10:30 so yay for sleeping in!! They won,
5 - 0 and Kayla got one of those goals!
She also had a special fan watching her this game, her great grandmother! She had been wanting to come out and see Kayla play so we were happy the weather worked out and she was able to sit on the sidelines and cheer her on.
Right after the game we came home, grabbed a quick lunch and headed down to Oceanside to visit the San Luis Rey Mission.
I love missions, the architecture is so beautiful and this particular one had a courtyard with wisteria blooming which smelled amazing!
The girls found these cute little hamsters in the gift shop that they just could not leave without so they each picked one to come home with us.
After we left the mission we headed over to our favorite brewery and restaurant. I had noticed on the way down to the mission that it was National Beer Day so it worked out perfectly that we were already planning on tasting some yummy beers.
We LOVE this brewery because not only are the drinks and food delicious but the grounds are so beautiful. The girls love coming here because they can run off and explore, they have a pond with turtles and fish and there is a lot of room to run around but it's all closed in so we can sit and enjoy ourselves while they hang out and walk around.
Brooklyn made herself right at home
There is plenty of room for them to be crazy.
NOFX was a favorite band of mine back in the day so I was excited to try out this beer. It was delicious!
We left with a little souvenir to enjoy later on.
I'm so glad we had the chance to get out and enjoy the day together and even though the girls weren't super excited to be going they ended up having a lot of fun and enjoyed it just as we knew they would. Sunday was spent resting at home, doing yard work and the girls playing all day.
