Weekend Recap

High five that it's just about the weekend all over again!  I'm basically counting down the minutes over here which sums up what kind of week it's been around here.  Last weekend we were up bright and early for Kayla's soccer pictures at 7AM!

Kayla played right afterwards and she was goalie all game.   It had seemed like forever since she had been in the goal so I was super excited to watch her do her thing. She did awesome and definitely earned that donut after the game

Next up was Brooklyn's game.  She played her besties team and lost 4-2 but Brooklyn scored the 2 goals for her team in the 2nd half of the game.   Her coach asked where she was the first half of the game and she said she was tired because she woke up so early for her sisters pictures 😝  She is not a morning person whatsoever.

After her game she found another friend on the fields, she can't wait to play against her team soon.

Saturday afternoon was spent doing a science project with Kayla....ohhh how I hate projects but we got most of it done so I was happy we had one less thing to do during the week!

Saturday night we all met at a favorite pizza spot to celebrate my dad's birthday.   Here he is with all of his grandbabies as proud as could be.

I had to get a picture of Brooklyn in her cute romper.  $10 at Gymboree was to good to pass up.

Brooklyn's such an awesome big cousin!

After pizza everyone needed dessert so we walked over to get some ice cream.

The cousins hanging with grandpa and grandma

This sums up my life with these two!

After birthday celebrations we headed home and waited for some friends to come over who were staying the night with us.  They live in Arizona and were visiting for the weekend so we were excited to have them for the night.

We all stayed up way too late, even the kids were up past 1 AM!

They built a giant fort in the family room and all slept in it together.

Sunday afternoon we headed over to my brothers house to celebrate my niece and nephews birthdays.  It was an under the sea theme and I thought these adorable bananas made into dolphins were the cutest!

The kids painted seashells

and then after Jonas received a soccer ball for his birthday the girls decided they would teach him some soccer skills.

Soon after we headed home and we were all exhausted from our busy weekend and staying up way past our bedtimes Saturday night.  I'm definitely looking forward to sleeping in this Saturday before we are off to soccer games all over again.

What a fun-filled family and friend weekend, Shannon!
I hope this weekend is just as fun for you all, and maybe you can sneak in a nap or a good Lifetime movie? : )
