Memorial Day Weekend

Even though school isn't out until June 6th over here Memorial Day Weekend always seems like the true kick off to Summertime!   We thought the best way to start the weekend would be to head to a local baseball game.

We were all ready to enjoy a good game and eat some hot dogs, lots of snacks and beers for hubby and I.

We ran into some friends and ended up watching the rest of the game and the firework show with them.

Saturday we drove out to Palm Springs to spend the day with my father in law.   We all couldn't wait for some warm weather and some time in the pool.  It just happened to be National Wine day so of course we had to have a glass or two.

Back at home on Sunday we woke up to cold and overcast weather.   We did absolutely nothing all day and when everyone was hungry I served up some snacks and we all watched Parks and Recreation together.

Later we had a family movie night.

Monday was another relaxing day spent at home, except Kayla and I headed out to run a few errands in the morning.

It was partly sunny but still a little too cold to fully enjoy a day outside.  We still managed to BBQ some hot dogs and I enjoyed some quiet time out back.

The month of May has been very busy so having two days to fully relax and do nothing was much needed.   In 6 more days we will have a whole lot more home time and we can't wait!
