Crystal Cove Camping

I was so excited to be camping at a new to us and very hard to book beach spot.   We usually camp atleast three nights but only two nights were available so I took them anyway because I have heard wonderful things about this place.

Our view definitely did not disappoint!

Since we were only there for two nights we had to get as much beach time in as possible so as soon as we were set up it was down to the beach we went.   We were camping up on a bluff so it was a long walk down which we eventually realized the next day that we could drive down and park so that was a lot nicer than the long hike to the water.

The water was so clear.  We all agreed it was like being back in Hawaii except that it was very cold!  The girls did not mind at all but hubby and I stayed out except for getting our feet wet.

After showers we enjoyed dinner outside and playing a bit.

Since it was National Ice Cream day it was a no brainer for dessert.

The girls watched some t.v. while we got ready for bed.

Check out this morning view!!
My morning coffee view was definitely a favorite.

The girls rode bikes for a little bit before we went down to the water again

We found lots of sea glass this day

After a long day by the water the girls and I rode back up the hill in the back of the truck.  They thought this was so exciting!!

For dinner we ended up just eating appetizers, playing cornhole and riding bikes.  None of us really wanted to leave the campsite to go out since it was our last night.

We had to leave the next morning and since check out wasn't until one we decided to get a little more time on the beach so we walked over to the tidepools to see what we could find.

We didn't find anything too exciting but the views were still gorgeous!

Crystal Cove quickly became one of my favorite beach spots and I really hope we get the chance to stay here again!  I was definitely sad this was our last Summer camping trip but so glad we got to explore a new spot.

Amazing view from your campsit! You found some great sea glass pieces. I love looking for sea glass.
