Ten on Ten

Happy Saturday!
Today is ten on ten and I'm so happy we are home and I'm able to capture our day.  The past few months were so busy being gone I haven't been able to post for ten on ten and these days are always one of my favorites to go back and look at.  Today was beautiful out so I decided to start the day on the back patio with a cup of coffee.

We were originally supposed to be swimming at my father in laws but soccer happened and Kayla has been begging to ref games.  This year she is old enough to take the referee class and since today was the only class offered this season we had to cancel our swimming plans.   Kayla and her daddy left before eight to head over to their all day referee class.

This cutie stayed home with me and enjoyed her blueberry muffin for breakfast.

Brooklyn still loves her some Audrey Hepburn so we spent the morning watching Funny Face together.

I then spent most of the day doing all of things I should've done this Summer but were too busy to do.  First up was organizing all of my recipes into my new recipe binder I ordered.   The girls had mentioned I needed to give them all of my recipes someday so I thought having them all together and better organized would be a good idea.

I took a break to make some lunch for Brooklyn and I.   We ate outside because it was actually cool out today.

After lunch I finished organizing our pantry.  I've been doing a little at a time and as of now it's done.  It's so much nicer to open this door now and see everything somewhat organized and stuff not thrown everywhere.

Most of my organizing was done by now I just needed to do some cleaning and vacuum a few rooms.  Brooklyn spent all of her day playing with Legos.  I love that she got to spend her day doing whatever she wanted.  She is my homebody and loves being able to just play all day.

Hubby sent me this picture of Kayla waiting for her test to be graded.  She passed and is now ready to ref some soccer games.

Once we were all home and ate dinner together the day ended on the back patio with some drinks for hubby and I.  Brooklyn jumped on the trampoline while Kayla took a shower.  It was so nice just being home all day and getting things done.  It felt like forever since I've just actually been able to be home with no need to be somewhere.
