Halloween Activities

Happy Halloween!

This week has been full of Halloween fun.  We carved pumpkins on Tuesday night.

Brooklyn still does not enjoy pulling out the "pumpkin guts"

Kayla didn't mind though

They both drew out their own designs.  Kayla carved out a kitty and Brooklyn changed it up and wanted the stem to be the nose.

Sunday I baked some skull cakes and then the girls decorated them.  They both really liked this and Brooklyn asked if it could be a new tradition.

I purchased the skull tray from Amazon and originally bought it for our Halloween dinner tonight but I figured I needed to get it's moneys worth and using it for cakes would be fun.   I'll post pictures of how I'm using the pan tonight for our dinner in our Halloween recap but so far it was well worth the higher than usual price for a pan.

Last night Brooklyn's school had their annual Trunk or Treat event but due to the high winds it was moved inside and instead of trunks they decorated tables throughout the school.

The girls all took of on their own after finding friends and I hung out and chatted with parents while they were filling their bags with candy and playing games.

After we came home and everyone showered and we watched our traditional Charlie Brown Halloween with some candy corn flavored popcorn.

Tonight we will be trick or treating and probably eating too much candy!
