A White Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving started as it does every year with breakfast and the Macy's Thanksgiving day parade.  The girls played and did some drawing while I packaged up chocolate turkey treats for all of the cousins.  It was cold and raining outside and was one of the first times we weren't dressing in short sleeves or dresses for Thanksgiving.   It's normally in the high seventies, low eighties this time of year but we had snow in the forecast for Friday and we had our fingers crossed that it would actually happen.

Later in the day while we were all finishing up getting ready it began to snow!   It didn't stop either and we all gathered and watched in anticipation that it would stick and we could have the chance to play in it.

Chris has missed the snow just about every time it has happened here because he was at work or traveling for work so he was just as excited to be home to watch it and play in it.

I'm pretty sure I could sit and watch snow fall all day long.  It's one of the prettiest things to watch,  so beautiful and peaceful.

We were so excited!  We haven't gotten this much snow in years.

We spent a little extra time at home to enjoy the snow before we had to head out to the grandparents for Thanksgiving.

We stopped by my parents first to have appetizers and enjoy some family time.

My grandmother and the girls

A great picture of my mom and dad.

Next we headed over to my in laws for dinner and dessert.

Their little cousin Tessa adores hanging out with her big cousins.

The girls played some card games with their noni

Then it snowed a little at their home

The night ended with the girls and their uncles having playdough wars.   We gave them an animal they had to create in a minute and then we would choose the winner.   Of course Brooklyn won the cat war.  Afterward we headed back home to find most of the snow had melted away but we were just thankful that we got a white Thanksgiving.

I'm a little jealous you got snow! Isn't it the most a-m-a-z-i-n-g thing? Sometimes when we get snow I turn off all the lights in the house, open the blinds and just watch it fall. Love your family photos!
