Much Needed Camping Trip

A month ago, on the first weekend of actual Summer vacation we packed up the trailer and went camping.  It had been over six months and we were excited, well almost all of us.

Most campsites during this time were still closed but there was one place that we go to over and over again that remained open and we were thankful to find a spot available.

Brooklyn was off riding her bike right away.

It was so beautiful out!

Kayla was in a mood and decided to read in the trailer the entire day and night so Brooklyn asked if I would hike up the hill with her to explore.

Our campsite could not have been any more perfect.

Back to riding her back and had to keep her favorite stuffy warm.

Sweet Cali enjoying the warm fire.

Brooklyn got some drawing in while waiting for breakfast.

The girls wanted to mini golf and they were happy to sit in the bed of the truck to drive over to it.

Kayla was in a much better mood this day and we all enjoyed playing mini golf.

Enjoying a little treat back at the trailer

Kayla and Chris played bocce ball

while Brooklyn drew on rocks

Kayla ended up spending most of the day playing with the girl who was camping next to us

The rest of us relaxed and enjoyed being some place other than home!

Chris knew of a delicious pizza place and really wanted us to try it so he went and picked us up dinner and we all loved it.

Reading in bed with my first baby

We headed out on a short hike on our last day

The views were so beautiful throughout the entire hike.

Kayla was goofing around and not listening to us about being careful while walking around when she slipped and fell taking out Brooklyn as well.

Luckily they weren't hurt and they had a great laugh about it.

We were just about done with our hike when we saw two butterflies and one landed right on Kayla's phone.

Back at the campsite everyone was out playing

While I enjoyed some more relaxing

Brooklyn loves riding her bike and wanted to ride it after dark.  It was extremely dark but she insisted so I sat out and watched her ride around in circles over and over again.   She was having the best time.

The next morning we packed up and headed home.
