Short Road Trip to Julian, CA

Last Tuesday we took a short road trip out to Julian, CA to spend the day shopping and eating some delicious apple pie.   We have camped in this adorable town a couple of times and since our favorite spot was closed this year for the week of Thanksgiving we decided we would just take a day to go out and enjoy the town for a few hours.

Here is a visual of Brooklyn's feelings about the two hour car ride there.

The drive out is one of my favorites, it's so pretty!

We arrived around lunch so we decided to eat first.

Brooklyn cheered up once she got to order a hot chocolate.

After lunch we shopped and shopped and shopped!

The girls were happy to be out and about and loved looking at everything and seeing stores filled with all the Christmas was my favorite!

After lots of shopping Chris stood in the super long line for pie while the girls and I checked out a second hand bookstore.

Julian Pies are the best!   We made sure to get a pie to go and slices to enjoy right away.

One more super cute shop before we headed back home.

I definitely saved the best shop for last.   There were so many cute items.

Brooklyn got back to her travel mood and the rest of us enjoyed the views and some Christmas carols.

Not a bad way to spend a Fall day!
