September Recap

Life was back in full swing for the month of September.  The girls are back in school, we are busy with soccer and cross country and I have also started working again here and there.

Brooklyn enjoyed gathering gifts from her grandparents for weeks after her actual birthday!

The girls both got haircuts at an actual salon which was extra exciting because I have been the one cutting their hair since they were babies.  They both loved picking out a new style!

Kayla had homecoming this month which meant shoe and dress shopping!  It was so strange watching this young lady trying out fancy clothes and accessories. Where has the time gone?

We all love a good family movie night and I thought it was so cute to find Brooklyn had pulled the living room table closer to the couch, had napkins and forks all ready for us to gather for dinner and watch our movie.

Brooklyn's number one request for her birthday were homemade donuts but she had to wait until the weekend since not all of us are home during the week.

She was very happy!

Brooklyn is always going the extra mile and doing all the extra credit for her classes, not because she needs to but because she wants too!

Kayla was at the football game so Brooklyn was living her best life eating ice cream all cozied up on the patio.

Every Saturday has been busy with cross country and soccer!

Every few weeks the girls search for all the cat toys and pile them up for the cats to lose again.  June enjoys all the toys to herself while Oliver sleeps most of the day.

While Kayla was at her Homecoming dance Brooklyn got to join us for a delicious sushi dinner.  She gets a lot of extra time with mom and dad now that Kayla is off being a teenager hanging with friends, going to dances or football games.

Cool weekends call for chili Sundays and yay for dinner outside!

I wait all week for the days I can enjoy my coffee with no where to run off to!

It was 80's day at school and Brooklyn came up with her look all on her own and I think she nailed it!

We enjoyed our first Halloween Friday Movie Night. 

We watched the newest Ghostbusters movie.

After a busy morning of soccer and cross country we left the girls for a few hours to enjoy some adult time at a nearby brewery.

Kayla made breakfast and it was delicious!

We also enjoyed an Italian feast with family and all the cousins ran around and played while we cuddled a baby and enjoyed the day.

I just love them!

Kayla had an orthodontist appointment so after the two of us went to dinner and she talked my ear off per usual and I enjoyed every second of it!

Brooklyn loves a good spirit day and did her own face painting before school which I think turned out pretty incredible!
