San Diego Bay Camping

The girls always get a four day weekend in October and we usually use the days off to go camping.  It really felt like it had been a long time since our last trip so we were all excited for some time away.  Before we got to enjoy our drinks we got the trailer all set up which includes Chris setting up the outside while I get the inside put together.  The girls sort of wander around and help where needed.

I made sure to bring a few Halloween touches

along with our Halloween dvd's

A candle is a must every trip!

After we were done we took a walk around the resort while the girls took off on their bikes.   We then headed back to our spot to enjoy our drinks, the girls were off and about for a bit and then I found Kayla already passed out just hours in to our trip.  Poor girl was exhausted and her body was sore from a very strenuous week of cross country practices.

She woke up for dinner and dessert of course.
We told the girls we were gonna go to the bar to watch the Dodger game and that they could either swim at the pool, go to the arcade or watch movies in the trailer.  They chose movies and games together in the trailer.

Our bar view while we watched the game.

Up for some coffee and to get breakfast ready.

We spent Saturday out and about with our first stop to the Living Coast Discover Center.  It was small but we enjoyed seeing all of the animals.

After we went back to the campsite to make lunch before heading to Liberty Public Market to shop around.

I was very happy to find a pumpkin patch!

How cute was this little flower shop inside?

We did a little more shopping before we grabbed dinner at Stone Brewery.

Later that evening the girls wanted to go to the arcade.  We hung out with them for a little while and then went outside to enjoy the band that was playing.

Back at the trailer the girls were playing charades while they waited for s'mores.

Sunday was a great day spent relaxing!
These two were super happy to have chocolate milk for breakfast.

After we ate, Chris and I decided to get a work out in so we went for a long walk along the water.

The rest of the day was spent by the pool doing absolutely nothing

except we did eat

we swam,

there was some reading

and some drinks.

They had games for the kids and these two would not leave Candy Bingo until they won!

Brooklyn finally won!

Later there was cornhole back at the trailer

A little coffee or a little whiskey?

A last evening bike ride

followed by our last gathering around the firepit

Our weekend seemed to fly by and I was a bit sad because I knew this would be our last camping trip of the year.

Before packing everything up the girls and I headed to the playground area because I needed one last picture and then they decided to play a little bit.

These two are always entertainment!

goofballs
