Key West ~ Day 2

On our second day we ate breakfast at IHOP since it was next to the hotel.  This was the only meal that we had on the island that was not good!  I would've never chosen it but everyone was starving so I went with it.

Three coffees, chocolate milk and a Brooklyn.

The rest of the day was basically a pool day.

I chose this hotel for this pool!
It was huge and so pretty plus they gave out free smoothies at noon, free popsicles at 2:00pm and free churros in the evenings, everyday!

The girls were in heaven!
They absolutely loved the pool and wanted to swim everyday.  The pool bar was also amazing and they never charged us for any of the girls drinks we ordered for them and they had their fair share of  Shirley temples and other fun mocktails.

The pool had footballs, volleyballs and floats for everyone to use.  Kayla and Brooklyn played football and volleyball constantly.

Taking a break to check out the iguana go by.

Back to the game.

So the hotel had several of these iguanas running around.  They were very curious little and they actually grew on me.  They let us get very close to them and they seemed just as curious of us as we were of them.  One even went for a little swim in the pool to cross to the other side.

After hours of swimming we cleaned up to go to dinner.

A few more pictures of our hotel.

We ate dinner at Conch Republic Seafood Company and started out with some Conch Fritters.  I guess it's a must try when in Key West and they were pretty good.

We all enjoyed the fresh fish of the day which was mahi mahi except Brooklyn who stuck with her favorite shrimp.

Checked the gift shop on the way out where Chris read a quick book to the girls.

The sun would be setting soon so we walked over to Mallory Square to enjoy the street performers and wait for the sunset.  Kayla really enjoyed the comedian performing.

After sunset we stopped by Kermit's to get some key lime pie which we all agreed was delicious!

That was the end of day two in Key West.
