September

We kicked off September celebrating some birthdays.  First off was our nephews first birthday party.  All the cousins together, swimming, playing and eating lots of sugary treats.

Brooklyn got to open an early birthday present from her papa and noni

Her first Tiffany & Co. jewelry for her big thirteenth birthday.

Cutest nephew around!

Football Sundays began so chili for dinner was a given.

I slowly added in some Fall colors

Brooklyn had her swearing in ceremony for National Juniors Honor Society.

She was also chosen as one out of three students in her middle school to sit on the school council this year.  She will be sitting alongside the principal, teachers and parent representatives in discussing all school activities and their educational goals.  Such a huge honor and we are beyond proud of her!!

A Friday morning hike while the girls were in school.

We've been driving all over for Kayla's cross country meets so finding fun parks to explore while waiting for the races keeps Brooklyn entertained.

I still need to upload all of Kayla's cross country pictures from Freshmen year but this year she is killing it as a sophomore on Varsity!  She works so hard and is seeing just how much her hard work is paying off.  She got home around midnight on a Friday night from a huge race and was up and out the door by 8:30 am to go run 4 miles of hills.

It is officially baking season and pretty baking pans are the best!

We celebrated my dad's birthday this month so I baked a yummy pie for dessert.

A somewhat date night even if it was something for Chris' work it was still nice to get out just us.

Sundays are for snacking
and even better when it's season appropriate

Kayla had a themed dress up day and it was early 2000's she wore my low rise jeans, Doc Marten Mary Janes, Tiffany & co jewelry and her own white t.  She claimed she wanted to keep it all and said she got tons of compliments on her jeans.

Ended the month with a stop in at the local garden nursery to grab some kale and Fall flowers.  It's finally cooling down next week so lets just hope it stays!!!
