St. Patrick's Day

I don't know how we went from drinking green beer in pubs to spending St. Patrick's Day at a movie theater watching a kids movie, eating at Chick-fil-a with a bunch of screaming kids and then ending the night with a quick trip to Target,
my how things have changed :)

It's definitely not that bad though, we all had a good time!

Kayla was supposed to have a t-ball game in the morning which was canceled due to the rain so hubby decided to head into work for a few hours while the girls and I laid in bed for awhile ;)
We eventually got up and I made some green cheese eggs for them.

Later we picked out some green nail polish and we painted our nails.

With both of the girls nails all done we finished getting ready so that when daddy got home we would be ready to head out to the movies.

Brooklyn had never been to the movies so we were a bit worried how she would react.
She gets frightened when she hears loud noises and we all know how loud the movies are.

When it first started she got a little scared but the first preview was for the new Ice Age movie and once she saw that she was fine except for the fact that later into the movie she got a little antsy, wouldn't sit still and fell off her chair at one point.
Don't worry she was fine and finished out the movie like a big kid :)

We saw The Lorax.
It was so so if you ask me but the girls liked it so that is all that matters.

Afterwards we went to eat at their favorite place,
Chick-fil-a.

Brooklyn was so tired she ended up laying down in my lap.
I still had to make a quick stop in at Target for a few necessities so we didn't stay and play for long.
I was going to run in by myself while the girls stayed in the car with daddy but the girls didn't like that idea so as they begged and begged to come with me I talked daddy into all of us going in.

Of course ending the day at Target would be perfect, how could it not :)
I found some new bedding that would be perfect for the girls room and Brooklyn LOVED it too
We might just need to go back and pick that up, you can never have too many duvets right?

I'll keep you all updated but right now it's snowing outside so I better get out there and have some fun.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, I'll be back with snow pics soon!

Hello Shannon,

A day filled with fun I'm sure.

We just got home. We went to the St Patrick's Day parade and then to lunch with baby girls BFF (and her parents/our neighbors).

We're home but it's so beautiful outside here today that we're thinking of heading back out for ice cream.

Wish we had a good Chick-Fil-A here. When we're in Florida we say "Chick-Fil-A Baby".

Enjoy your day!

No, you cannot have too many duvets or duvet covers :) get them while you can, my girls no longer want "shabby chic" ones, my oldest is eyeing the dark purple and black zebra stripes :( Please, God, don't let her go goth on me in the future!
Love your day and photos.

Sounds like we take our kids to do a lot of the same things. My boys like the Lorax, too. Ben was a little scared during the movie previews, but once the movie started he was all into it. You really went all out to make St. Patrick's day memorable and fun. Great photos!
