Graduation

Kayla was so excited for her Preschool Graduation.
She was bouncing around all over the house before we even left and we had to keep reminding her that she would have to stand still at the ceremony.
She could barely wait to  get to the school and sing and dance to the songs she had been practicing for so long with all of her classmates.

Even Brooklyn was excited.
She stood on her chair singing her version of what she thought they were singing and clapped the entire time.

After the ceremony was over Kayla asked me over and over again if I liked it and if she did a good job.
She was so excited to sing and dance with her classmates for us to enjoy.
Once we got into her classroom to return her gown she ran over to her "buddy" Jack and gave him the biggest hug.
She then looked at me with the saddest face and said "I'm going to miss Jack".
I knew she was trying hard not to cry and so was I at that point.
She found out earlier in the week that all of her "best buddies" that she plays with are going to completely different schools and had been so sad about it.
I didn't cry at all during the ceremony but seeing her face at that moment almost made me lose it.

Kayla is so outgoing and happy all the time she will have no problem making new friends.
She is my little social butterfly!
I'm glad I don't have to worry about that next year while she is at Kindergarten.

All the grandparents came out to be a part of her special night and afterward we celebrated back at our house with ice cream sundaes.

That night when I went to bed I got really sad thinking about how next year she will be at a completely different school.
I love that Preschool and all of the teachers and faculty were so wonderful.
I am so thankful she had such an amazing Preschool experience.
She is really looking forward to Kindergarten come August!

Shannon,

I hope that one day I'm reading a blog post and you're posting the photos of this graduation, eighth grade graduation and high school all in one!

What a wonderful time and great photos.

I love the last one the best!

Enjoy your day with your family. :)

I completely understand where you are coming from, it is so hard to move on and leave behind people who have been such a huge part of our lives ie preschool teachers and good friends. Change is difficult sometimes, it takes a while to adjust. But you will :)
Great pics, and what a cute little graduation gown :)

Anyway, how cute is she?! Oh my gosh, I am glad H's school doesn't do the whole cap and gown bit because I think I would be a WRECK! Seriously, I don't know how you stayed pulled together. Way to go. Great pictures with you and with the grandparents! So sweet.
