Summer in Snapshots

Happy Wednesday everyone!
We've been busy around here, our vacation is coming up so trying to clean the house a bit and pack for the entire family is what I've been up to.
We have managed to squeeze in a bit of fun here and there, here's what we've been up to this past week,

For our 'craft day' last Wednesday the girls played with Aqua Sand.
Not much of a craft but it kept them busy for awhile.
Kayla got it for Christmas and we hadn't opened it yet I was saving it for Summer, knew it would be something to keep them busy.
They enjoyed it but it did make a huge mess it's not so fun cleaning sand up all over the floor, probably should've done it outside.
Next time :)

Wed. 6/20

Thursday morning we did a little shopping.
Old Navy was having a sale so we headed over there to see what we could find and all we came home with was a soccer ball.  It ended up costing me $2.80 after using coupons, pretty good huh?
We just signed Kayla up for soccer and everytime we go to Old Navy they ask for a ball so it was about time we got one.
The girls had fun kicking it around the yard that night.

Thur. 6/21

Friday night we headed out to our favorite pizza place and then ended the night with a movie night.
We watched James and the Giant Peach, the girls liked it but I wasn't a huge fan of it.
I'm pretty sure it isn't going to get watched as much as some of the other favorites around here.

Fri. 6/22

Saturday was a kick back day, we didn't go anywhere except for the backyard.
Some swimming in the morning and then playing in the yard in the evening while daddy did some yard work.

Sat. 6/23

Sunday afternoon we headed to the Santa Ana Zoo to check out all the animals.
After we were done there we visited my grandparents in Laguna Beach and had dinner with the family

Sun. 6/24

Monday Kayla and I played a few rounds of Fancy Nancy and then the girls decided to use the game board as a road way for all their cars.
I spent the rest of the day cleaning, pretty fun!

 Mon. 6/25

While I was in Target a few weeks back I came across these little toys that grow in water.
I figured it would be something fun for the girls to do before we went to Sea World so I grabbed the sea animals, stored them to use before our trip and then completely forgot about them.
I found them Tuesday morning and had the girls throw them in the water hoping they would actually grow so they would not be disappointed.
They spent all day asking and checking on them and so far nothing

 Tue. 6/26

That's about as exciting as it gets around here.
Enjoy the rest of your week!

Summer perfection! I like days full of easy, fun activities. We still haven't made it to the zoo this summer. The pic of the girls there is too cute!
