Monday

The ants finally left last week, by Thursday they were completely gone.
Thank goodness because we were leaving for the weekend and I was not looking forward to coming home Sunday to see ants taking over our home.
______

After dropping Kayla off at school this morning Brooklyn and I went grocery shopping.
Now that the ants are gone and I have my kitchen back I wanted to bake and cook a yummy dinner.
So we made sure to get the ingredients to make these yummy cookies.

When we got home from shopping Brooklyn watched a movie, played and later on she helped me make the cookies.

We were running a little late to pick up Kayla since we were in the middle of making cookies so when I picked Kayla up from school today the teacher was outside with her watching a baby lizard.
She came over to me and said "you've left me with nothing to teach her"  and continued with "if I could only have 30 Kayla's every year my job would be so easy"
It was a great thing to hear but I'm not going to say I'm surprised, Kayla loves learning and soaks up everything.
It is good to think that I don't have to worry about that girl with school, really hoping it always stays that way.

As always on the way home she told me about her day and all about the book the teacher read them.
When she walked into the house she instantly smelled the cookies and was excited to find out she could have one after she ate her lunch.

The girls played a bit before they took naps.
Which were much needed after spending the weekend with my parents.
There weren't any naps over the weekend at grandma and grandpa's instead they spent all day Saturday at Knott's Berry Farm living it up.
Such lucky little girls!
While they napped I got to work on some items for the Etsy shop.
can you tell I'm obsessed with doilies and vintage music sheets ;)

After naptime we read this book,

the girls will be flower girls in my brothers wedding this Sunday.
They also practiced their walking down the aisle.
Hoping they do as well as they practice!!!
I'll let you know how it goes ;)

I saw this recipe over on my friend Kelli's blog and pinned it immediately.
I'm all for easy and delicious dinners!
I didn't make any green beans with it because I knew the girls wouldn't eat fresh green beans and wasn't sure if hubby would either.
The meal came out delicious, next time I will make sure to add the green beans or maybe try some broccoli with it.

Some cookies for dessert and then the girls were off to play in the front yard while daddy mowed the lawn.

They played outside until it was time to come in and take their baths.
This picture below looks me even more eager for Fall!
I really want to bring out all my Fall decorations but I'm trying my best to hold off until atleast the middle of September after we have celebrated Brooklyn's 3rd Birthday.

I'm with you I've been to Home Goods and they have such cute fall stuff...I'm having a hard time not buying everything and putting it all out already. I'll try to wait another week or so ;)

I saw that on Kelli's blog and want to try it too. It looks good but simple and I'm all about that. That's so great that Kayla is doing well. Always a relief for Mama!!!
