2013

 2013 is going down as another great year!

We took some great family vacations.  In February we spent a couple of days in Santa Barbara visiting museums and enjoying how beautiful the city is up there and then during the Summer we spent a week on Balboa Island enjoying the ocean and watching the girls frolic on the beach all day.  Come August both girls started school, Brooklyn started her very first day of preschool and Kayla began first grade.  Kayla also decided this year that she really enjoyed playing softball and is really looking forward to playing again in the Spring.  Brooklyn is going to give it a try as well but will also continue to do ballet and tap.  Just this past month we got to see her first recital and realized how much this little girl loves the stage.  The girls also got their first cousin and I finally became an aunt to my adorable nephew.  I would say it was a pretty good year and I am really looking forward to see what 2014 has in store for us!

P.S. A great surprise was finding our holiday home among the top 12 finalists over at Jennifer Rizzo's holiday home tour!  My heart definitely dropped when I saw that our home had made the top 12 and was considered with all that talent!!!
