School Awards

While picking Brooklyn up from Pre K on Tuesday her teacher informed me that she would be receiving an award on Thursday morning and that she didn't know anything about it.  I was so excited for her because I knew she would be so happy to get an award.  She is so used to us all going to see Kayla get awards so often and would always mention how she can't wait to be a big kid and get an award.  Well lucky for her Thursday was her day.  She received a Certificate of Achievement for being a great leader, friend and student!  Just as we knew she would be she was extremely happy especially when we told her we would be going to Ruby's for dinner Friday to celebrate and use her coupon.

This morning I received a call from Kayla's school saying she would also be receiving an award in the afternoon for being the 38th top reader in the school out of 835 kids.  She also had no idea she was going to receive an award and she was sooooo confused when she walked out to her assembly and saw Brooklyn and I in the audience.  Not only was she the 38th top reader but there were only 2 other second graders even in the top 100 and she was number one out of them!   I'm so proud of her.

Ruby's for dinner and chocolate malts for dessert were the perfect way to celebrate these girls hard work!
