What's Up Wednesday

Since I had some free time this morning I thought I would participate in What's Up Wednesday which happens on the last Wednesday of the month.   All you do is answer a list of questions sharing what's going on in your life then link it up by clicking the image below to share with others.

WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK
We have soccer practice every night except Wednesdays so our meals are quick and easy during the week.
Monday: Linguine pasta with Italian Sausage(I used Trader Joe's frozen linguine and then added peas and sliced up italian sausage)
Tuesday:  Taco Tuesday
Wednesday: The easiest and yummiest spaghetti!  Seriously try this recipe you only need 3 ingredients for the sauce and its delicious!
Thursday:  Breakfast for dinner (most likely I'll make waffles and turkey sausage)
Friday: Chicken Burgers with Garlic Rosemary Mayo (except I use ground turkey meat)

WHAT I'M REMINSCING ABOUT
Both girls are back in school and this is the first year Brooklyn is going everyday and even though she isn't gone all day like Kayla it has been tough on me.  It's nice being able to get things done on my own like grocery shopping or cleaning the house but the hardest thing is just plain realizing that the time of having them both home and being little is gone!  I've always loved having them with me all the time and never could relate to the parent that didn't want to spend every waking moment with their kids.  It's so hard for me not to think back to when they were little and not get sad and wish it could be that way again.  I'm not sure that those thoughts will ever just go away so I just need to remember to enjoy these new moments we get to have now that they aren't babies anymore.

WHAT I'M LOVING
These two love each other so much!
From the moment they are home from school they are playing together with their Legos or Kayla is reading to Brooklyn.  I'm so thankful that they have each other and have established such a strong friendship and love for one another.

WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO
Other than school our lives are basically soccer.
Practice everyday except Wednesday and games on Saturdays means Wednesday and Sundays have quickly become my favorite days of the week!

WHAT I'M DREADING
Next weekend we are celebrating Brooklyn's 6th birthday with a cowgirl party and I am not looking forward to all of the shopping and running around that comes the few days beforehand to get everything ready for the party.

WHAT I'M WORKING ON
This week I've been working on getting everything done so I can volunteer at the girls school which means getting a TB test, fingerprinted and running all over town to drop off paperwork here and there.  I've also been stocking up on Fall clothes for Kayla, she needed pajamas, jeans and of course I had to buy two of these so the girls could have matching Halloween pj's
Ghostly Cat Two-Piece Gymmies®
here
I was so excited about them until shopping with Kayla at Target on Sunday and I pointed out some other Halloween pj's that were similar and said how cute and she said "those are for little kids"  (enter mommy sad face here)   Fingers crossed she doesn't think they are totally lame when she sees them!!

WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT
FALL!!!
This is the time of year I get sooooo excited about, now don't get me wrong I love Summer because my girls are home with me but as soon as the girls are back in school it takes a lot not to start pulling out pumpkin candles and dreaming of decorating for Fall.  I wait of course until after Labor Day and I usually like to decorate for Fall on an actual cool day so typical I do wait until the middle of September to pull out the pumpkin decorations but I can't say I wait to burn yummy candles.  Sunday I purchased these from Bath and Body Works just to be prepared.

I'm also patiently waiting for this to be delivered

I love my other Staub pot and last year when I saw this online it was already sold out so when I saw it again I knew I had to have it.  My husband and I have our 11 anniversary on Friday and I asked if I could just order this for my gift and he said that is perfect because it's a gift for both of us since I'll be making him a ton of delicious soups in it.

WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING
I feel like I really missed out on this show at the time.  Luckily there is Netflix and I can watch it whenever I want.  I started from season one and I'm now only a season and a half  away from the ending but I don't want it to end!!!  I really wish there were more shows on t.v. like this nowadays and not so much junk on at night!

WHAT I'M LISTENING TO
I've been listening to the Little Big Town station on Pandora in the evenings while cooking dinner to get ready for the concert I'm going to in a couple of weeks!!

WHAT I'M WEARING
Since it's been so HOT I've been in shorts and tank tops or tees with flip flops just about everyday.  I'm really looking forward to jeans, hopefully soon!

WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND
Saturday is a day of soccer games, not quite sure what we are doing that evening but I know Sunday is a day at home with nothing to do!

WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

I know how you feel about your babies growing up! Mine are soon to be 8 and a new 3 year old. How quickly life goes when you have little ones. They are beautiful girls! I always thought it would be fun to have a sister. Jake Owen concert, huh? I love that newest song of his! Over from the link up! xo Amanda
