Our Weekend

Our weekend started out with the girls school Harvest Festival.  We have gone the past four years and look forward to it each year.   The school has simple fun games for the kids and I always enjoy chatting with all the parents while the kids are having so much fun!  We left earlier than usual this year because Kayla had a birthday/costume party to get ready for.  She looked super cute all dressed up and had so much fun with all her friends.

Saturday morning the girls had their last soccer game for the season.  Kayla still has play offs in a few weeks but this was it for Brooklyn.  She is very sad to say goodbye to the season, she loved it so much.   I am happy to have a few nights free without practice but I truly loved the moms on both the girls teams and loved talking to them all during the practices.

Kayla's poor team had lost EVERY game except for Saturday when they finally WON!!!  I was so happy for them, they are such a great group of girls and deserved a win.  Kayla was very happy!

After the games we went out to lunch with my parents and then headed home to shower up and go to the movies to see Hotel Transylvania 2.  It was so nice having a Saturday free to have some family time, it's been quite awhile since we've been able to do whatever we wanted to do.

Sunday morning we had our neighborhood yard sale so while hubby was out taking care of bussiness I made us some chocolate donuts.

The rest of the day was spent cleaning out the garage, watching Halloween movies and just enjoying the day.

I made spaghetti and meatballs for dinner and that was the end of our simple weekend.  We are all looking forward to a fun Halloween next Saturday and can't wait for this week to be over!
