Brooklyn's Birthday Celebrations

Brooklyn turned 9 a few weeks ago.  Her birthday fell on a Saturday but we began celebrating on Friday after school.  I surprised her after I picked her up from school and told her we were going to go get a manicure and pedicure together, just us!   She has never gotten a manicure and pedicure so she was beyond excited it was the cutest thing, she could not stop smiling.

I told her we needed to grab a Starbucks first because it's always nice to enjoy a yummy drink while you are getting your feet rubbed.

This girl loved every minute of her pampering and told me she is ready to go back anytime.

She picked out the brightest colors which actually turned out to be very cute.

I loved spending some one on one time with my birthday girl.

Saturday morning, which was her actual birthday, we woke up and headed out the door for her soccer game.   They ended up losing but Brooklyn played awesome, scoring 3 goals that day.

Back home after the game Brooklyn walked in to find some presents waiting for her.

How adorable is Kayla's artwork on Brooklyn's card

I love giving this girl presents because she gets so excited over each and every one.

After the presents were opened, daddy took Kayla to her soccer game while I got ready for the party and Brooklyn showered up and got ready.  We had some downtime as well and I had to remember my sweet 9 year old who still cuddles and loves on her mommy.

and yes she is dressed as a cat because her theme for her party was cats and Brooklyn loves a good dress up party.  She asks every year for some type of party where everyone dresses up and I always explain that's too much to ask everyone to go out and get costumes for a party so she decided she would dress up on her own anyway.

At 3 o'clock the party began

Delicious chocolate kitty cupcakes

The two littlest cousins enjoying their fruit together

All of the cousins were together to celebrate and next year there will be one more added to the group!

9 years has gone by so fast!

More presents!

Brooklyn had a great 9th Birthday!
