Our Weekend

It was a busy weekend but full of fun!

Kayla had her dress up day at school and also had a Halloween dance right after school.  Brooklyn had shade day for Red Ribbon week so she was decked out in her sunglasses.

Saying goodbye to my cute koala for the day

Brooklyn's school had family reading day so she was super excited to have mommy coming along with her for the morning.

She really misses having me at the school to help out every week so she made sure to let me know she wanted me there for the family reading morning.

I enjoy any minute I get with my girls so I loved hanging out with her and listening to her read to me for awhile.

Later in the evening while Kayla was off at her dance, Brooklyn got dressed in her costume so we could go to her schools trunk or treat.

She was happy to get some pre-Halloween candy to start off the weekend with.

Here she is with her 3rd grade teacher

and her cute little kitty friend

Back at home we ordered pizza and watched the Dodger game.  It was the longest game EVER!  I made it til 11:20 and then called it a night.

My mother and father in law had a wedding near us Friday night so they stayed the night with us.   After breakfast the girls played card games with their noni before they had to head home.

Next up the girls had to get ready for their soccer games.   They both played their last regular season game on Saturday.  Kayla is done but Brooklyn's team might be playing in the playoffs.

After the games we rushed to get ourselves and everything ready for our Halloween party, you can read about the party here.   Sunday was spent at home and relaxing for most of the day.   I love enjoying a slow morning at home!

The girls love being home as well.  By 9am my family room was already decked out for a day of fun

The only place we went was to get new cell phones.   Kayla was very excited that she would be getting my old one and now she finally has a cell phone!  The day went by way too fast and I was sad it was just about over.   Next weekend is gonna be a good one so I'm in full countdown mode til it gets here.
