Student of the Month in Middle School

Wednesday evening we headed to Kayla's school to see her receive a Student of the Month award. 

We were very proud of her being chosen so early on in the school year and it was so nice knowing she is doing so well in middle school already.  When we arrived we saw some of her friends which made me even happier knowing she is surrounding herself with great girls that also value their education.

"Kayla is attentive, participates fully, and asks great questions that get the rest of the class thinking.  The pride she takes in her work is very obvious in the high quality she produces.  She is always cheery, friendly and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needs it.  She is a model of what a friend and a scholar look like here at San G."

Hearing the words her teacher had to say about her made us even more proud of our girl.  Coming from an elementary school where we would hear all the time how amazing the girls are it was hard moving on to middle school and not knowing how things were going so it felt like a huge relief knowing that she is doing just as well this year and that her hard work is being recognized!
