These twenty eight days in February sure did fly by. Other than Valentine's celebrating the month was pretty normal. It started off on a Friday reading in class with this cutie. It was also pajama day for her so she was nice and cozy.
Later that night hubby and I dropped the girls off at their grandparents and we went out to dinner and then to a bar to watch my brother in laws band play.
Around 11:30 we went to pick up the girls who were still wide awake playing the game of Life with my parents.
We have had A LOT of rain and it seems to happen every weekend so there sure have been a lot of cozy weekends bundled up at home.
Super Bowl Sunday was spent at home. I made lots of snacks and the girls enjoyed a pajama day and lots of playing.
"mommy take a picture of just my calico critters"
Brooklyn is in charge of folding wash cloths and putting them away so when I went to grab a washcloth before my shower I found this sweet note and some chocolates waiting for me and her daddy.
The girls have had so many friend birthdays the past few months! Brooklyn had another Art Barn party this time for one of her besties.
She had a great time and her painting came out super cute.
A new cat hat made by Brooklyn of course
The girls are hooked on the Wings of Fire books and have become obsessed with dragons. Brooklyn lined up some dragons and then read a few chapters to them after school.
A Valentine's gift drop off one evening by their papa Buzz
The girls had President's Week off from school and although we laid low and didn't do anything too exciting we were still busy with everyday life errands like taking both fur babies to the vet.
I was very happy to have some helpers!
We met with my brother and sister in law at a nearby brewery on a Saturday night. The cousins had a great time playing foosball, air hockey and daring each other to eat red pepper flakes while we enjoyed some adult time.
Sunday morning breakfast and mimosas!
We had my parents over for Sunday dinner one night. I love having people over and sure did enjoy getting everything ready for them to arrive.
The girls and I drove out to my parents one day and while the girls got to cruise around and go out to lunch with their papa my mom and I went through a few storage units that were full of my grandparents stuff. I came home with a few treasures and we also stopped in to visit with my grandmother for a few hours. I had a great time and so did the girls hanging with their papa all day!
A week off from school and rainy days meant a lot of lazy mornings. I love this view especially when I can sit and enjoy it without having the rush of getting ready for school or work.
This gorgeous painting was one of the treasures that belonged to my grandparents and I was happy I found the perfect spot for it in our dining room.
A trip to Costco was much needed and since I had both girls with me I had to hope I could make it all fit with Brooklyn in the back taking up some room. Luckily she still had a spot to sit after we loaded it all in.
Daddy was gone for work so it was just us girls for a night. We popped some popcorn and watched, Don't tell Mom the Babysitters Dead. Vinnie was really hoping to get some popcorn as well.
Hubby and I took a quick overnight trip to one of my favorite cities, Pasadena. There are so many great restaurants, shopping and fun bars to see.
We first stopped in at a great bar with a New Orleans vibe to grab some drinks. I loved the music and the decor was perfect. It was National Margarita Day so I started out my night with that.
We walked over to another spot for dinner and it did not disappoint! My seafood pasta was amazingly delicious.
Next up we walked over to a wine library. It was another really fun spot. There were books everywhere as well as wines and hubby found some really cool books. We enjoyed a glass of wine and chatted before we headed back to the hotel. We were both in bed by 9:30, as you can tell we partied really hard on our night away.
It was finally sunny and warm enough to be outside so we took advantage of it. The girls and hubby went on a run while Cali and I walked behind.
Back at home we enjoyed our Sunday. Cars were cleaned and rose bushes were cut back. The girls even played in the backyard for a little while. Kayla kept saying it felt like a Summer afternoon. It was perfect and made me wish for Sunny days even more!
Sister Cuddles
We bought new slipcovers for our coaches so I decided to take advantage of a day off from work and start some Spring cleaning in our family room. Everything was torn apart but Cali still found her bed.
Everything was dusted, windows cleaned, the room completely vaccumed and brand new slipcovers are on! Now if only we could keep the rain and cold weather away. I'm very much ready for Spring days!

Your sunny February days look like our late May days - we are buried in snow over here and have a LONG way to go til spring weather! Love your new slip covers and love a good spring cleaning too! Such a good idea to take an overnight - I've got to book something... one of these days! Happy March!
I feel like January lasted forever and February flew by. You had a busy month! I really need to do spring cleaning around here. Maybe if I do the rain will stop and the sun will come out!
Have a great weekend!
