Kayla's Birthday Celebrations

On May 3rd Kayla turned 12!!
I don't know how that happened so fast.
I love this girl so much and I'm so proud of the young lady she is turning into.   She is so awesome and I really wanted to make sure her day was just as special as she is to me.

Her day fell on a Friday so after we dropped off Brooklyn at school I surprised Kayla by taking her to Starbucks to pick up a little a treat to enjoy.

She was very excited to be walking into school with her Starbucks!

When I picked her up at school she was sporting a Happy Birthday headband and bags of gifts from her awesome friends.

Back at home she got to tear into her gifts from us.

Soon enough it was time for her three besties to come over for a sleepover.

Everything was set up and Kayla was looking forward to having all of her friends over to celebrate

The house got loud quick and there was lots of giggling and silliness going on.

We enjoyed listening to all of these girls and their silly stories.  They were having so much fun!

At one point they were all inside playing the game PIT, hubby and I decided we would enjoy a little quiet out back and play a game ourselves for a bit.

Brownie sundaes were for dessert but first we all had to sing to the birthday girl

Next the girls played a game that we came up with, Who knows the birthday girl best? We compiled a few questions all about Kayla and whoever got the most right won a prize.

The rest of the night was spent with the girls playing games and watching movies.  They had plans to stay up all night but luckily around midnight they decided to call it a night.  One had already been asleep for about an hour since she had to be up and leave early for a soccer game.

The next morning the girls enjoyed donuts and more hanging out before they were picked up by their parents.  Kayla said this birthday was her favorite so far.   I'm so thankful she has such great friends that were able to celebrate her day with her!
