Mother's Day Weekend

I was extremely spoiled this year for Mother's day.  The celebrating started on Saturday morning when I got up and the family made breakfast.

Brooklyn set the table and added some greenery by adding in some spinach leaves.  I mean how could I not love that :)

Breakfast was delicious!

Later we got ready and took a drive out to Escondido to do some shopping at some of the cutest antique shops.  Hubby and I grabbed a chai/coffee first.

Looking through an antique shop with a delicious chai latte is a perfect way to spend a Saturday.

I loved this velvet antique photo album but did not love the price so much.

Of course we had to check out the cute bookstore

The girls were getting hungry so we stopped to try some beignets with chocolate and berry sauce.

After our afternoon shopping we headed over to Stone Brewery.  I love this place not only is the beer delicious but the food and the grounds are amazing.   The girls love to explore and we all love the amazing food.  So when I had to choose something to do for Mother's day this was the spot.

While hubby and I ordered our drinks the girls were off exploring.  They spotted a baby turtle that we enjoyed watching while we relaxed.

The food never disappoints!

It had drizzled a little while we were just enjoying the grounds but after we were done with dinner it began to really rain.   They moved umbrellas over the outdoor tables and we all waited for dessert in the rain.  It was a lot of fun being outside during the rain.

Sunday morning started around 8am!  Yay for sleeping in and then getting up to enjoy my coffee in my favorite spot.

I was showered with gifts and loved every single one of them!  The girls went to Hobby Lobby and Marshalls with their daddy and picked out my gifts this year.  I love getting gifts from my girls that they actually picked out themselves.

Kayla's card made me tear up!  I love her drawing of Winnie the Pooh so much and that quote is one of my very favorites.

Brooklyn's card made me laugh out loud, she's such a weirdo!

One of the gifts the girls gave me was a jar filled with memories they wrote down.  They said they would add to it as they thought of more.  So thoughtful!

Kayla picked out the sign which she has definitely started to realize is a very, very true statement.

After gifts and a very relaxing morning at home we headed over to my parents to celebrate with my mom and sister in law.  My grandmother was sick so unfortunately we didn't get to see her.

These four kept us all entertained with some music and dancing.

The weather was beautiful so the cousins played outside while we sat outside and talked for a few hours before we had to leave to head over to my mother in laws.

Over there we ate homemade pizza and talked for a few hours.

This year was definitely one of my very favorite Mother's Days.  I loved having an entire Saturday to spend just as I wanted to and then Sunday to celebrate with all the other moms in my life.  It was perfect!
