Camping at Silver Strand

Another beach camping trip in the books!
I'm sorry if you are all getting tired of seeing our camping photos especially when they always seem to be of the same place we go time and time again.   We just love camping at Silver Strand State beach on Coronado Island so much.  Hang in there though cuz we have a new beach trip coming up quick so there will be a little bit of change in our camping photos!

All of us were loaded up and ready for some beach time and really hoping the weather would be better than the last time we were here!

Thankfully the sun was out and the weather was warm.  I was officially back in my happy place.

This picture below of an older man walking is of who we were refer to as 'Mr. Coronado' because for the past five years we have been camping here this gentleman walks the beach daily!   I like to think he remembers us as he sometimes gives us a little head nod.   Last trip we didn't see him at all and we were all worried something had happened to him but nope here he is just as always.

These two are living their best life!

Brooklyn cleaning off her feet to get in the shower while Kayla waits in line.  After so many times these two finally have the procedure down, for the most part.

Kayla and her koala J.J.
We both named him after my grandparents and her great grandparents.  J.J. is straight from Australia and is now enjoying the beaches of California with Kayla.

game time

Brooklyn was inside drawing while we were outside playing.

bike rides and walks around the campgrounds are always a favorite thing to do.

Brooklyn eating s'mores is never pretty

Good morning

It was another sunny morning on the beach

lunch on the beach because getting them out of the water is almost impossible

This night we went out to dinner at Coronado Brewing Co. we had been there before and it was definitely much better the first time

Brooklyn decided she didn't want any pictures taken of her.

The next morning the sun was out for a few hours but eventually it turned cloudy and cool which was a bummer because it was our last full day

We enjoyed breakfast burritos on the beach this morning and the girls ran around for a little while

The girls went on a bike ride with daddy and by the time they came back the clouds had taken over.

After some watermelon we decided to walk around the hotel del Coronado, check out some shops and the girls got gelato.

Back at the campsite we got our fire ready for the evening.

Bike rides and dog walks led us to seeing the most beautiful sunset.   The pictures didn't even capture the colors of the water which is what made it so much more amazing.

I stood and watched the sunset for a very long time.  After being a little bummed that we didn't get to enjoy the beach on our last day this view sure made up for it.

We only have one more camping trip for the Summer and it will be some place else.  I'm really hoping to book us back here at the end of August but getting spots this year has been really tough so fingers crossed it works out because waiting a whole year to come back seems to long for me!
