Idyllwild

Last Sunday we took a little day trip up to Idyllwild.   We stopped at a small lake on the way up to explore a bit.  It was the perfect spot to enjoy our Sunday.

Can you spot the red dragonfly?

There were lots of large rocks which the girls loved climbing on.

We packed some bread to feed the ducks and saw an adorable baby duck that the girls enjoyed feeding.

The bridge had been ruined by a fallen tree which made the day even better when we all got to walk across the tree to get to the other side.

The girls stopped and sat on the tree to feed the ducks for a bit and I enjoyed this gorgeous view!

We drove further up the mountain and stopped at another spot.   The girls once again found more rocks to climb on.

After all of that exploring we were hungry and made our way up to the town to get dinner.

The girls both really enjoyed the entire day.  They loved feeding the ducks and climbing on all of the rocks.  They both liked the idea of a picnic next time at the lake and are looking forward to going back again soon.

My family went there when I was growing up but I haven't been there in many years. Such beautiful scenery, I had forgotten about all those fun climbing rocks! Looks like you all had a great day!
