Insta Friday

The first full week of school is over!

So far so good except for the fact that the girls are exhausted everyday especially Kayla.

It's a big adjustment going to school a full day and the grumpiness and attitude lately is just delightful around here!

I added to that by surprising the girls yesterday after school and taking them to Disneyland so needless to say we are all in need of a lazy and relaxing weekend!

Saturday night we went over to my aunt and uncle's home and had a great time catching up with family members.

This is my cousin and I, we used to be close when we were little and then family stuff got in the way and we lost touch.  

It was nice hanging out again and hopefully we'll see each other more now.

The girls got to hang out with their cousin Michael as well, here they were all watching a movie together.

Brooklyn started preschool on Tuesday so we read this book on Monday, it was really cute.

Here she is ready to go!

She loves it so far and let me tell you, I've never seen a kid get more excited to see her mom at pick up.

She runs over to me and jumps into my arms with kisses all over my face, it's the best!

The teacher loves her and said she is such a good little girl and so sweet.

Our cat is a bit confused since he usually waits on the bed for Brooklyn to come in and take a nap with him but since school has started there haven't been any naps.  

Instead she decided she would just put all her toys she wanted to play with on the bed with him so they could be together.

Since I spent all day Tuesday morning mopping and cleaning the house while the girls were in school I made sure to have some fun Thursday morning.

I went out shopping at a few favorites spots and found some pretty things.

It was so nice to shop at some shops I wouldn't normally go into with the girls since I know they would be touching everything.

Like I said earlier we were at Disneyland last night and we had a blast but unfortunately today we are all tired, well atleast I am!

Brooklyn is full of energy running around playing right now and Kayla is off at school she was fine when I dropped her off but cranky this morning while getting ready.

I'm so glad it's Friday and we have a weekend that doesn't include any running around!

Here's what we've been up to the past couple of weeks,

When we got back from our beach vacation we got right down to business and started our back to school shopping.

Kayla knows exactly what she likes and dislikes now and watching her try on something she really likes is adorable.

She was getting so excited over certain outfits, "oh my gosh mom, this is so adorable, isn't this adorable??"

We spent some time enjoying the cooler Summer weather we had for a week or two.

Nobody minded playing outside, the girls were even watering my flowers for me everyday. Here's Brooklyn watering and picking me a pretty flower.

We went out to dinner at our favorite mexican restaurant, these girls act so silly sometimes I think they were the ones who drank the margarita!

Off to my father in laws to swim for the day, all my girls were ready to go.

Brooklyn asked "daddy can you skip me like a stone?"

Who would've thought this girl would be jumping in the water and being thrown in the water like this when she spent the first few weeks of Summer  complaining on the steps about being too scared to do anything.

More back to school shopping, Kayla knew exactly what she wanted ~ Pink Shoes!

Kayla was not to happy about having to share her back to school shopping time with her sister she wanted it to be just mommy and her like the year before so we set a night to go out just the two of us.
We both agreed In N Out was going to be for dinner!

Last week Brooklyn started Ballet & Tap, she was so eager for her class to begin!

Fitting in some craft time in our last week of Summer

I spent an evening last week making a delicious dinner along with some breakfast burritos to grab for a quick breakfast during the school week.

Saturday hubby and I went out to dinner to one of our favorite spots, The Melting Pot.

So nice to sit and eat without anyone playing with their food or complaining!

Before the girls went back to school I had them each make their own bracelet.

I told them whenever they look at it they can remember all the fun they had together as sisters over the Summer.

Tuesday night we went out to grab pizza and yogurt to celebrate the last night of Summer.

The girls had to check out the fountain so I made sure they let me take a picture of their cute lil' faces first.

When the girls were all tucked in bed I set up the kitchen table for some morning fun.

Here's my big first grader, I can't believe she's already old enough to be in school all day. 

Where does the time go???

While Kayla was off at her first day of school Brooklyn had ballet and tap.

She ended up getting "Dancer of the Day" and was sooooo excited, she kept saying "I can't believe I already got dancer of the day!" over and over again.

Soon enough it was time to pick up my big girl, I was so happy to see her but she didn't want to leave school she loved it so much.

She spent the next hour telling me all about it in every detail!

Brooklyn has a 4th birthday coming up and she's decided on a unicorn party so yesterday we were out looking for unicorn decorations.

We found a Pinata!

and today is daddy's birthday, the girls were excited to give daddy his presents this morning.

Kayla made him a birthday video on her camera where she sang happy birthday to him, so cute.

Knott's Berry Farm Fun

One of the items on our Summer Fun List was to go to Knott's Berry Farm.

My parents gave us tickets for Christmas and we had been saving them for when school got out.

Yesterday was the day we went and it was not too crowded, it was hot but not as hot as it's going to get this Summer so it worked out well.
I didn't take my camera but used my phone to capture a few pics. throughout the day.

This was only the 3rd time the girls had ever been so they were super excited to ride on the rides they remembered from the previous trips and Kayla was tall enough for a few rollercoasters so she was happy to ride those over and over again.

Since Kayla was off riding the rollercoasters with daddy most of the day Brooklyn and I hung out in Camp Snoopy.  She loved going in the bouncer and watching her bounce quickly became one of my favorite parts of the day along with standing in line waiting for the log ride with Kayla where she NEVER stopped talking to me about anything and everything!

I may have cried a bit watching Brooklyn bounce when I realized she was pretty much the same size Kayla was the last time we came to Knott's which then led me to realize that Kayla is already outgrowing all these little kid things and I want them to stop growing so fast!

Kayla went on the Log Ride three times and I went with her the second time.

The picture they took came out so funny so of course we had to buy it.

Her face is priceless!

One of the things I look forward to seeing while at Knott's is all of the cute shops and buildings in Ghost town.

Of course I didn't get to do much looking because two little girls wanted to go on rides but we walked through quickly so I could atleast enjoy it for about 5 minutes.

Whenever we go to a theme park we usually get split up so one kid can ride a certain ride while the other goes on their ride so it's always nice when we get them to agree to go on one so we can all be together!

We stayed until a little after nine and had been there when the park opened at ten which gave us more than enough time to go on all of the rides we wanted to, most of them multiple times.

The girls passed out as soon as they got in the car and I was definitely ready to climb into my bed.

Today was spent lounging around watching movies and relaxing, we are loving this Summer so far!

Sharing my Instagram pics from the last 2 weeks.

Hubby and I had an adult night out a few Saturday's ago celebrating his stepdads birthday.

We have spent the past 2 weekends driving out to Palm Springs to go swimming at my father in laws house.  The girls have loved it!

Brooklyn was exhausted after swimming all day long.  Passed out on the way home with her tiara, wand, ring and you can't see them but she has earrings on too.

I can't think of a better picture to describe this child ;)

Kayla knows that when she goes to a certain doctors office that there is a Chickfila nearby so we always stop for dinner afterward.

It's our Mommy/Kayla time as she calls it and I love it!

While I was out with Kayla, hubby sent me this pic of Brooklyn enjoying her yogurt he took her to get.

After school last week we met up with friends at Disneyland.

It's impossible to get 4 young kids to look at the camera for atleast one good picture!

Memorial Day Weekend arrived and school is almost out!!

Brooklyn couldn't take a quick pic without grabbing a tortilla chip first.

Daddy had to ride the rollercoaster with Brooklyn since she wasn't tall enough at John's Incredible Pizza.  Lucky daddy ;)

We hung around the house on Memorial day but I still had to celebrate with a watermelon margarita of course.

The girls celebrated with fudgecicles.

My hydrangeas have blooms everywhere, I really want to cut them all off and bring them inside but will refrain so I can have dried hydrangeas in the Fall.

After an evening walk the girls and I hung out in the backyard.  They were having fun playing with their bubble guns.

Summer begins next Wednesday for us so I've been bringing out my seashells and decorating for the season.

Brooklyn got her toes ready for Summer this morning with some bright orange nail polish she picked out.
